Sabudana Wada



Preparation Time: 30 mins

Resting Time: 2-3 hours

Cooking Time: 15 mins


Sabudana (Sago) 1/2 cup – soaked in water for about 2 hours (depending on the size of the sabudana , especially if big sized) and kept in a strainer to remove excess water

Roasted peanuts crushed ( not very fine powder) – 3 tbsp


Coriander Leaves – 1/2 cup

Potatoes – 2 medium sized boiled and mashed

Green Chillies – 2-3 chopped finely

Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp

Vegetable oil for frying


1) Mix the sabudana with the potatoes and all the other ingredients

2) Make small balls or flat wada on the palms and fry them till golden brown

3) Remove and keep on a tissue to drain off excess oil


Serve with mint chutney or tomato sauce
